PRINCE 2 is a process-based approach for project management used across diversified sectors including automobiles, construction, IT providers, BFSI, and FMCG.

"PRINCE 2 is going to help support the delivery of projects of any size, any complexity in any industry, any sector," Axelos Global Head, PPM Product Development, Cameron Stewart told reporters here.

The updated version ensures the method's tried and tested approach to project management, with its structure of principles, themes and processes.

PRINCE 2 is built on experiences and knowledge of people who are running projects in real life, Stewart said adding that "it's going to help for everything from preparing for conferences, to make a building or a ship or an IT system." As per the company, the new version is designed to ensure that the project failure rate in India is less.

The company has other methodologies including MSP, ITIL, and a collection of cyber resilience best practice products, RESILIA.

Axelos is a joint venture between the UK government and Capita Plc, which aims at managing, developing and growing the global best practice portfolio. Quint is a global consulting and training firm specialising in IT management solutions.
