At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in August edged down by 30 paise, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 131.65 per kg in business turnover of 87 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in September contracts was trading lower by a similar margin to Rs 132.45 per kg in 6 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand in the spot market mainly influenced aluminium prices at futures trade.
