At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in September went up by 40 paise, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 129.60 per kg, in a business turnover of 175 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in August was trading higher by 35 paise, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 129.15 per kg in 4,694 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by participants due to pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market, mainly influenced aluminium prices at futures trade.
