Buoyant demand and market recovery across businesses in India is to further increase the demand for aluminium, Care Ratings said in its report
1,156 KT – consumption of primary aluminium till first half of this fiscal
2,200 KT – demand for aluminium expected
3,426 KT – production seen in this fiscal
5% – estimated rise in aluminium demand in the current fiscal year
12.1% – jump in exports in the first half
$2,000-2,100 per tonne – global aluminium prices expected in short to medium term period
