"The incentive scheme launched by AAI would reduce the operating cost of the airlines when they operate cargo freighter aircraft. The scheme would go a long way in boosting the growth of cargo at airport and in reducing the cost of oeprating cargo freighters," AAI said in a statement.

For those airlines that operate six to 10 cargo freighters in a month, incentive would be 10% on concession on applicable landing charges on freighters.

For 11 to 15 cargo freighters, the incentive is between 10 and 20% while for 16 cargo freighters and above the incentive is about 30%, it said.
