Google's former chief business officer, Nikesh Arora, has been named as Japanese telecom giant SoftBank's new president and potential future chief executive officer.Arotra joined the firm, which is touted to be Asia's most prolific startup investors, in September 2014 as vice chairman of SoftBank Corp. and CEO of SoftBank Internet and Media, reported TechCrunch.While addressing a press conference, SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son said that he viewed Arora as a potential successor but ruled out any changes to the leadership in the near future.Arora joined SoftBank last year to help the firm, which owns Sprint, expand its business operations.
