Can you describe your software product? What has made it a success?Twin Prime is a software for mobile app firms such as Flipkart, Snapdeal and RedBus. They take our software and integrate it with their mobile app. So, the next time somebody opens up that app, our software tries to analyse what's going wrong. Where is the inconsistency coming from in the network? Is it the device that is the constraint? Is it the network? And once that is known, it is easy to fix the problem. We have done fingerprinting of the entire network around the world. Right now, we track 3,600 operators on 10 different networks and 12,000 devices in 150 countries across the world.

Our software automatically optimises performance on mobile apps based on feedback on the constraints that are slowing it down. The biggest requirement for a mobile app company is to provide consistency and efficiency in content delivery. If the content doesn't even show up then what is it going to do? People close or abandon an app for two reasons. One, the content is not interesting. The second is that the content doesn't show up easily. A US study has shown that 80% of the time people either abandon an app or try out competition's app because the content did not show up. It's a big pain point. Our product offers solution for this pain. How big is the Indian market?I am very bullish on India. We skipped the entire landline revolution to become the second largest mobile phone market in the world. The same thing is going to happen with Internet. The primary way to access Internet is going to be cellular phones or wi-fi. And mobile apps are going to be big. This is how people are going to transact, and speed would be of essence. If one app is faster than the other, it will have a major edge over the other. It will see more revenues and users. So, software like Twin Prime have huge business potential in India's emerging app market. What is the response from the Indian customers? We are engaged with some of the largest apps in India. We are not disclosing their names due to confidentiality reasons. RedBus is the only one we are publicly talking about. Our product has helped cut its response time to users by 2-3 seconds. How much funds have you raised till now?We started the company three years back, and have raised $9.5 million from Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) ventures, True Ventures, Anand and Venky and others last year. I and my co-founder were focused on telecom network side from the very beginning. How big is your company today? We are not disclosing our revenues but we are servicing many Fortune 50 companies. We have some of the largest app companies as our customers. We have also partnered with Facebook for tool sets for mobile app developers. We are looking to expand in India in a big way. That's one of the reasons for my visit here. I am looking for looking office space in both Delhi and Bangalore. I see very clear trends based on our deep engagements here that we will need an office here. We will expand very rapidly here. Right now, from the venture capitalist fund's point of view, India is biggest market.Does India have the ecosystem for it?We are building it.Can we be another Silicon Valley here?I don't think so. You just cannot take something that works in Silicon and apply it here. India's start-ups will have their own character. Are you looking to go for another round of funding? We will be raising more money. Hopefully, this year. Currently, we have customers in different parts of the funnel - some are closed while some are in the process of closing. If we close all deals in our pipeline, we will be there on every phone in India soon. Like the app you will be using will have our software.
