Saiyami Kher plays the lead actress in Anurag Kashyap's Netflix film 'Choked'
The trailer of Anurag Kashyap's rather dark film 'Choked' has been unveiled and the film explores the topic of demonetization right at its core. The story revolves around 'Mirzya' actor Saiyami Kher, who finds an unlimited supply of money in her own kitchen.
Right after turning rich, Saiyami is faced with an unexpected situation - demonetization, which was imposed to unveil every kind of black money. Stuck in a wedding with a good-for-nothing husband, how Saiyami Kher would be able to manage the situation as a bank cashier loaded with money, would be an interesting watch.
Anurag Kashyap manages to tap into the genre he works on best - the dark world. The movie is his second project with Netflix in 2020, after collaborating with Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Banerjee on 'Ghost Stories'. Prior to that, Kashyap had collaborated with Netflix for 'Sacred Games' and 'Lust Stories'.
Apart from Saiyami and Roshan Mathew, the movie also features Amruta Subhash and Rajshri Deshpande. Soon after the trailer of 'Choked' was unveiled, filmmakers like Nikkhil Advani, Hansal Mehta and Anubhav Sinha congratulated Anurag and team.
