Salman Khan, who’s returning on TV with the third season of Dus Ka Dum, spoke about the younger generation and how they are averseness to try out the small screen. While actors like Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Jacqueline Fernandez have been part of various shows, several Gen-Y actors aren’t too keen on making their TV debut, yet.
Salman reasons, “I’ve spoken to a lot of actors from this generation and I’ve realised that they feel they will lose their respect if they do TV. They think they will be looked down upon and people will laugh at them. They would rather not work than make those lakhs of rupees that they can make from TV.” With Amitabh Bachchan, Salman and Aamir Khan being successful with their shows and others like Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan also taking up work on small screen, we wonder what makes the young generation think this way.
