Year after Naseeruddin Shah called Anupam Kher 'clown, sycophant', latter wishes Shah speedy recovery

Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah was hospitalised on June 29 for pneumonia. As per his manager, he had a pneumonia patch on his lungs. On Wednesday (June 30), Naseeruddin’s wife and actor Ratna Pathak Shah gave an update on his health. She said currently Naseeruddin has been undergoing treatment and will be discharged soon.

Many among those who wished him a speedy recovery, one was actor Anupam Kher, who took to his Twitter to wish Naseeruddin Shah good health.

Anupam wrote, "Janaab Naseeruddin Shah Sahab!! Kambakht pneumonia importance chah raha hai. Isliye 1-2 dino ke liye aapke sath ho liya hai. Jaldi jhatak de isse aur theek ho jaiye. Bade dino se aapke sath kaam karne ki talab hai. khyal rakhiye apna. Aapki achchi sehat ke liye prarthana aur dua."

This comes a year after Anupam was called a sycophant and a clown by Shah for his pro-government stance on social media, which resulted in bitter controversy. 

The news of Shah’s hospitalisation was confirmed by his manager to indianexpress.com on Wednesday. The manager was quoted saying, "Sir was hospitalised on June 29, but he is now doing well. There is a pneumonia patch on his lungs, and the treatment is going on. He might be discharged today or tomorrow.”

The actor was last seen in Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Tashkent Files', 'Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi', and Zee5's 'Mee Raqsam'.
