As she posted a poignant birthday wish for her father, Yami shared an unseen video from one of her pre-wedding rituals with him. Yami mentioned in her caption that her father is 'camera-shy,' and it took her wedding to obtain some beautiful shots.
Yami posted a video from her 'haldi' ceremony on Instagram, in which she is seen wearing a yellow saree with a red dupatta.
Yami looked stunning in the video, accessorising her appearance with lovely flower jewellery.
Her father is seen applying haldi to her face and feet while she smiles the entire time. Surilie Gautam, her sister, is heard speaking from behind and her father is seen blessing her.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Yami was asked if anybody from the industry knew about their relationship to which the actress said, Now, I don’t think it’s right on my part to reveal that. Let’s just say that I have a lot of respect for certain friends, very few of our common friends, who respected our privacy. It meant a lot to us. It’s always nice to share this with people and the media, but when you both are comfortable. There shouldn’t be any kind of pressure or any kind of precedent for anyone that ‘Oh, that is how so and so carries themselves. So that’s how it has to be’. You’ve to decide for yourself, what works for you and what makes you happy. And this is what makes us happy.
