It was in 2016, Shaheen Bhatt, sister of Alia Bhatt opened up about being diagnosed with depression since she was 13. Last year, on World Mental Health Day, Shaheen launched her book titled 'I’ve Never Been (Un)Happier', which was her account of life with Depression. Alia who is best friends with Shaheen and they even live together had shared a video in which she gets emotional talking about what her sister went through.

Today, on World Mental Health Day, Alia took to her Instagram page and shared a photo of Shaheen with a heartfelt note. Talking about the video Alia shared last year, she is seen saying, "When I read your very first book, a book that you have written with so much ease and honesty, while I struggle to write one letter to you, I feel awful. I feel terrible because despite living with you for 25 years, I have never really understood your silent moments of depression. I never recognized a snappy moment as something much bigger."
