Priyanka Chopra will not be seen making a guest appearance in her second Marathi film Kaay Re Rascalaa, which releases next week. The actress, who rendered a song and also made a special appearance in her Marathi production debut Ventilator, was contemplating a behind-the-scenes role in this film, reveals her mother Madhu Chopra. “It was initially planned that Priyanka would do the voice-over as a storyteller for the light-hearted comedy, but her packed scheduled prevented her from doing so,” she says.

Mama Chopra adds that it also didn’t happen because Priyanka did not seem to be convinced about the idea. “Priyanka does not believe in doing anything unless she feels it is justified. She felt that her voice-over simply would not make sense in the mad comedy,” she says.

According to Madhu, the film is not very different from their earlier productions. She says, “This is the first time that we are making an absolute paisa-vasool comedy, but it’s all part of the game. Priyanka cautioned me that this would be a risky proposition. However, on second thought, she felt that it was okay to take such risks in production.”
