Emraan Hashmi aka the serial kisser of Bollywood, is back on the silver screens but this time, in a new version. His latest release Why Cheat India has him playing a conman who cashes in on the corrupt practises within the Indian education system. The movie, which also star Shreya Dhanwanthary, has shown slight growth in its box office collections on the second day, but reports suggest that only a miracle can save the film's overall performance.

Why Cheat India opened to Rs 1.71 crore on Friday. On day two, reportedly the film has managed to rake in Rs 2.45 crore at the ticket windows. It will be crucial to see how well does Why Cheat India do over the weekend. Day three collections will be pretty crucial for the movie, and so will be the Monday litmus test.

As of now, Emraan Hashmi's Why Cheat India is facing pretty tough competition from Vicky Kaushal's URI: The Surgical Strike, which is still going strong at the box office. The film has already been declared as the first hit of 2019.

Not just URI, Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan's Simmba too is still running successfully in theatres. That is also giving tough competition to the Emraan Hashmi film. Why Cheat India still has time till January 25, 2019 when Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Thackeray hits the theatres.
