Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in his bail plea in the Bombay High Court has said the NCB is "misinterpreting" his WhatsApp chats to implicate him in the Mumbai drugs case.

Aryan, who is currently lodged at the Arthur Road Jail, on Wednesday moved the Bombay High Court after a special NDPS court turned down his bail application. Now, the Bombay High Court will hear the star kid's bail plea on October 26.

As per media reports, in his appeal in the High Court, Aryan Khan said the Narcotics Control Bureau's "interpretation and misinterpretation" of the WhatsApp chats collected from his mobile phone was "wrong and unjustified". In his plea, Aryan has also claimed that no contraband was recovered from him after the NCB raids on a cruise ship on October 2 and that he has no connection with any of the other accused in the case except Arbaaz Merchant and Aachit Kumar.

As per reports, Aryan's appeal also mentioned that the chats were being relied upon by the probe agency as "ex-facie (on the face of it) of a period prior to the incident". "By no stretch of imagination can those purported messages be linked to any conspiracy for which the secret information was received," it said. "The interpretation of the WhatsApp messages is that of the investigating officer and such interpretation is unjustified and wrong," the appeal said, as per reports.

Questioning the special court's order, Aryan's appeal also mentioned that "There is no presumption in law that merely because a person is influential, there is likelihood of him tampering with the evidence", one of the bases on which his bail was rejected.

Aryan Khan, along with seven others, was detained and then arrested on October 3 in connection with a drugs case.
