Watch: Priyanka Chopra's journey from 'outsider with no Bollywood connection' to 'global star' captured in seven minutes

Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared a video of her journey from 'an outsider with no connection to Bollywood' to becoming a 'global icon'. The seven minute video clip shows her journey not only in Bollywood, Hollywood or Television, but also her social causes like association with UNICEF.

While Priyanka's movie stills from 'Barfi' and 'Fashion' were part of the introduction in the video, the focus also shifted to how important family (both her parents and wedding and life with Nick Jonas) is to her. The two-time National-Award winner has been termed as 'the one who breaks stereotypes' and 'self-made superstar'.

The actress is constantly heard saying that she wanted to become an aeronautical engineer. She was then called the first Indian actress to cross over to US stardom, the first South Asian girl to win People's Choice Award, the first Indian female to reach 50 million followers, the first Indian to be among highest-paid TV actresses, the first Indian to host MET Gala, become a Guess ambassador, to get honoured at FIFM and to receive Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award.

PeeCee was heard stating that she is proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with her male counterparts in India. 'In a league of her own', hard work, dedication, diversity, discipline, social responsibility, game changer, achiever, legend in the making, fearless, unstoppable, unfinished, 'Winner of Mother Teresa Memorial, Padma Shri Award' - were some of the words used to describe her. Her journey from Miss India and Miss World, and a student from army school from Bareilly was also remembered. Priyanka was also heard saying, "If I can be sitting here today, every one of them can." The seven minute 25 second video ended at Priyanka's dream - 'Golbal domination'.

Revealing that there is more coming up, Priyanka tweeted the video captioning it, "Thank you for such a beautiful reminder of these 20 years since I started in this business. I want to celebrate with all of you... stay tuned!"

Priyanka Chopra was recently in news after she signed a multi-million dollar contract with Amazon Prime. According to their deal, the actress would be working with them for two years. She has various other projects in her kitty, some ready for release, while other shootings pending.
