At Manish Malhotra’s fashion show, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif were the showstoppers. According to a report by SpotboyE, Madhu also attended the show, and when she went backstage where Salman and Katrina were, Salman turned away and refused to acknowledge her presence. In fact, reportedly, Katrina, who is doing Bharat in Priyanka’s place, didn’t acknowledge her presence either. “Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif were right there prepping for their impending walk. However, the moment the superstar saw Chopra approach, he turned away and began talking to the actress,” said the report.

After the show, as she was leaving the event, the media asked her whether the reports of Salman being angry at Priyanka’s exit from Bharat were true. To the question, she candidly replied, “Salman naaraz hain, yeh main toh nahin keh sakti, unse hi puch lijiye. Par Bharat se toh nikal gayi hai.(Whether Salman is angry or not with Priyanka I can’t say, why don’t you ask him? But yes, she has left Bharat.)

Previously, Salman’s father Salim Khan refuted rumours that any of the members of the film’s team, or even Salman for that matter, was upset with Priyanka, saying that people leaving movies happens and it wasn’t at the last moment. Initially, rumours said that the exit was because of her engagement to Nick Jonas. However, Priyanka signed on for Cowboy Ninja Viking opposite Chris Pratt and started filming for Shonali Bose’s The Sky is Pink soon after her exit. Bharat releases in theatres in June 2019.
