WATCH | Hindi Medium actress Saba Qamar talks about humiliation she faces being a Pakistani

Pakistani actress Saba Qamar doesn't need an introduction, specially after her 2017 Bollywood hit Hindi Medium with Irrfan Khan which impressed audience all around the world. 

But the actress who enjoys popularity across borders got emotional and teary-eyed when she narrated the humiliation she had to face because of her nationality. An interview of Saba Qamar has gone viral where the actress is seen giving out the details of the ordeal she had to face while on an outdoor shoot with her Indian crew. The actress broke down while talking about how she was discriminated because she is Pakistani and the reality of how the world has formed an opinion about the country she comes from. 

While going to Tbilisi, Georgia, to shoot a song with Irrfan Khan for Hindi Medium. She said, “We were at the airport and while all my Indian crew went ahead, I was detained. I was thoroughly checked and it was the most embarrassing and humiliating moment for me. This is just because I was a Pakistani.” The actress further said that she felt shameful about how her country, that she is so proud of, is seen as a terrorist state by rest of the world.

Pakistan has given us many talented musicians and actress who are loved across the globe and Saba Qamar's sentiments have not gone down well with her fellow Pakistani and her fans as well.
