Video: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan tears up during the National Anthem

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan got a little overwhelmed when the National Anthem got played at 31st IMC Women Entrepreneur’s Exhibition in Mumbai. In a video now going viral, the actress, who was the chief guest at the two-day event, can be seen welling up as the anthem gets played. The star can be clearly seen wiping away her tears as the anthem ends.

At the event, Aishwarya was quoted saying, "I am honoured and privileged to be invited as the Chief Guest here to represent the women of our times, the burgeoning entrepreneurs and future powerful and promising stalwarts. IMC Women's wing has evolved as one of the most prestigious platforms of recognition for Women Entrepreneurs."

Speaking about the importance of economic empowerment for women in the country, she said, "Economic empowerment of women is a national agenda, and by supporting this exhibition, I have the honour in supporting the economic empowerment of our women."

Shabana Azmi, Sonu Nigam, Ronit Roy and Juhi Chawla were also present at the event.
