'It's an honour to play a role that...': Veer Pahariya on playing Air Force officer in debut Sky Force

Veer Pahariya opened up about getting a larger-than-life debut in Sky Force. Sharing the screen with Akshay Kumar, Veer is set to prove his acting chops with his portrayal of an Air Force officer in action-drama. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, the film is slated for a Republic Day release, on January 24. 

Speaking about his, debut, Veer called it a 'once-in-a-lifetime opportunity'. He said, "Making my debut as an Air Force officer, in a film that releases on Republic Day, feels like a dream come true. It’s an honour to play a role that showcases the courage and sacrifices of our real-life heroes. Sharing the screen with Akshay Kumar sir only adds to the magic of this experience." 

For the unversed, Veer underwent six months of intense training, including combat drills, endurance exercises, and even flying lessons.  The film, directed by Kapur and Kewlani, revolves around untold stories of the Indian Air Force, combining thrilling aerial combat scenes with an emotional narrative. While Akshay Kumar’s seasoned presence adds gravitas to the film, Sky Force puts a spotlight on Veer Pahariya, showcasing his raw talent and passion for his craft.

Akshay and Veer are expected to give Bollywood's it's first big hit in 2025 with Sky Force. The movie also starred Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in key roles. The makers on January 5 unveiled the much-awaited trailer, leaving fans excited for the anti-Pakistan war saga.  The film is inspired by India's first and most lethal airstrike. The movie will also mark the highly anticipated debut of Veer Pahariya.

Sara portrays Veer's devoted wife, who anxiously awaits his return. Nimrat Kaur's role remains a mystery. The intense fighting sequence in "Sky Force" is electrified with patriotic fervour, particularly when Akshay Kumar's character responds to the Pakistani army's inquiry about his location with the bold and defiant dialogue, ‘Tera baap’.The trailer concludes on a poignant note with Lata Mangeshkar's timeless classic, ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logo.'
