Actress Vandana Sajnani Khattar, the wife of actor Rajesh Khattar, who is known for her candid confessions recently poured out her heart and talked about the latter not being ready to marry her after his divorce from his first wife Neelima Azeem. Vandana also spoke about Neelima's son Ishaan Khattar being in touch with her and Rajesh.

In her interview, Vandana revealed that Rajesh was willing to be in a 'live-in' relationship with her but wasn't ready to marry her while adding that she had to convince him to tie the knot with her. Vandana and Rajesh tied the knot in 2008. They were blessed with a son, Yuvaan, after 11 years into their marriage.

Rajesh and Neelima were married from 1990 to 2001, and have one son -- actor Ishaan Khatter.

"I was single, I never had been married and had no baby. And here there was a man, who has been through all of that. Bohot kuch sunne mila (I had to hear a lot from people)," Vandana told Bollywood Bubble

She added, "In fact, I was the one who was insisting. I don't think he (Rajesh) ever wanted to marry again. He was very clear that he didn't want to marry, he had been through that. He said, 'Yaar live-in karna hai toh kar lo, impossible, I'm not getting into matrimonial.' But, I was stuck."

About her bond with Ishaan Khattar and Neelima Azeem, Vandana said that Ishaan and Yuvaan share a "brotherly bond" and she is "quite friendly" with Neelima.

"When Yuvaan was born, Ishaan came home, he was very tiny of course, so there was no interaction as such. So, Ishaan was playing with him and all of that, then they had a couple of video calls and stuff," Vandana told the entertainment portal.

"But, immediately the lockdown happened. So, we never really got a chance to kind of go to Ishaan's house, which we used to frequently, as I am very friendly with Neelma also. So, we used to go there sometimes or they used to come home," she added.

"Ishaan has been very much in touch, all of us actually," Vandana concluded.
