Tusshar Kapoor hosted a party to celebrate his son Laksshya’s second birthday on Friday (June 1). The doting dad wanted the celebrations to be simple and fun. He says, “We had invited only six-seven children...just the ones he meets on regular basis. I didn’t want him to run away from his own birthday party because of too much crowd.” Grandparents Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor along with aunt Ekta Kapoor joined in the fun. Among the guests was Karan Johar with kids Roohi and Yash Johar, while Taimur Ali Khan was accompanied by his nanny.
Tusshar preferred to opt for a themed do. He avers, “Laksshya is too young right now. I would like to do a theme party when he grows up and has his own preferences. I just wanted him to have a great time with his friends. He was thrilled to play with the balloons, spend time at the bubble station and the ball pit.”
The no-frills dad ordered a gluten-free cake. “I have observed that most fancy two-three tiered cakes go waste after they are cut. I ordered a delicious one that could be finished during the evening itself and could be had by everyone - kids as well as adults,” he adds. Though Laksshya did receive a lost of gifts, the hands-on dad was in charge of looking after them. “We haven’t opened all the gifts yet,” he says adding, “I don’t want to give all of them to him at one go. I want to space them out so that he can appreciate each gift.”
