Shahid Kapoor became father for the second time on Wednesday night and hence when we got a notification from his official Twitter handle on our mobile phones on Thursday, we jumped with joy thinking he has posted a picture of his baby boy. But, we got the biggest shock of our lives when we opened the account.

Shahid's Twitter cover page was replaced by a Turkish flag. Posts related to Alauddin Khilji, Katrina Kaif and god knows what were shared in Turkish language. A thread of provocative and non-sensical tweets were pushed out on his timeline.

The pinned tweet slammed Padmaavat's portrayal of Allauddin Khilji as a barbaric conqueror. On Instagram, in addition to changing Shahid's profile picture, the hackers posted an old painting of Khilji and wrote, "Raja Alaaddin Khilji aise barbar, janwar aur harami aadmi nahi thi jaise aap ko dikhai di! (King Alladdin was not a barbarian, animal and dishonest man as he was shown)"

The hackers also took this opportunity to profess their love for Katrina Kaif and Raj Kapoor. Sharing 'Ek Tha Tiger' song, Mashallah, the hackers wrote, ‘I love you Katrina Kaif.’ They also shared a song from Raj Kapoor’s movie, 'Awaara'.

They appeared to belong to the Turkish cyber outfit Ayyildiz Tim, who are also believed to have had attacked the accounts of Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Bachchan, Anupam Kher, among others in the past.

However, both his Twitter and Instagram accounts have now thankfully been restored. Shahid informed his fans about the hack on his Insta story. "Hey guys, thank you for the wonderful wishes. My Instagram and Twitter have been hacked. Just got Insta back. My team is working on sorting Twitter. So please know it's not me and avoid any interaction," the actor wrote.
