The film will now have competition at the theatres from two new releases that have hit the theatres on Friday. Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan starrer Luka Chuppi and Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Sonchiriya have hit the theatres on Friday. Trade analysts suggest that Total Dhamaal should be able to touch the Rs 150 crore mark at the box office.
#TotalDhamaal has found widespread acceptance by families/kids... This factor will ensure ample footfalls in Weekend 2, despite two significant releases: #LukaChuppi and #SonChiriya... Week 2 will give an idea of its *lifetime biz* and whether it will touch/cross ₹ 150 cr.

Though, the film hasn't been able to impress the critics, the audience clearly seems to be loving it. A positive word of mouth has helped the film to put up a strong total in the first week of its release. Total Dhamaal opened to a total of Rs 16.50 crore on last Friday and it took off from there showing an upward trend.
