Thugs of Hindostan: Aamir Khan introduces Fatima Sana Shaikh's warrior character

Looks like this week will turn out to be Thugs of Hindostan special. On Wednesday, Aamir Khan released first look of Fatima Sana Shaikh's character -- Zafira.

The 25-seconds motion poster shows the Dangal star leave trade her wrestler outfit for a warrior that is skilled with bow and arrow.

Sana's attire comprises of leather gloves, a corset that serves as an armour, a cropped leather jacket and what looks like Patiala pants. Her manes are left loose but her smoky eyes are dead set on the target in front of her.

Is this our answer to Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games movies? The audience will get the answer to this question when the movie releases on November 8.

Statement from Yash Raj Films describes Sana's character - 

Zafira is fiery and stunning. She is an extremely talented fighter and specialises in combat by bow and arrow. Zafira has perfect accuracy and she doesn’t miss a target, ever. Fatima Sana Shaikh as Zafira brings vigour and freshness to Thugs of Hindostan.

Based on Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug, this movie tells the story of a pirate gang who posed a serious challenge to the British Empire in India during the early 19th century.

Also starring Katrina Kaif, the movie had its release date pushed by just a day to avoid the chances of low footfall on Laxmi Pujan day.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, Thugs of Hindostan is one of the most expensive movies of Bollywood.
