This video of 'Raees' actress Mahira Khan being forcefully kissed by Javed Sheikh has gone viral

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is grabbing the eyeballs once again. A video from an award function has surfaced online, in which she can be seen being kissed forcefully on the cheek by Javed Sheikh. Needless to say, the video has now gone viral on social media platforms and the actress had to slam the haters for spreading negativity around the said video on Twitter. 

The video in question is said to be from the 17th Lux Style Awards that was held in Lahore. Mahira, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Raees, was honoured with the Best Actress award for her performance in the 2017 hit film Verna, in a star-studded evening. 

As per the video, when Mahira went up on stage to receive her award from fellow colleagues from the industry Mawra Hocane and Javed Sheikh, she first greeted Mawra and then moved towards Sheikh to take her award. It was then that an awkward moment was captured by the cameras, when Javed can be seen trying to plant a kiss on her cheek while Mahira tried to look away.

The video has been shared on massive scale on various social media platforms. Moreover, some netizens went ahead and started spreading negativity with their hate-comments. 

Mahira took to her Twitter account to slam the haters with a strong message. She wrote, "I have just woken up to such silly stuff floating around. It’s good to be aware and have an opinion but for Gods sake don’t use anything and everything to make news. Javed Sheikh of all people! He is a legend and a mentor to all of us in this industry. Would vouch for him always."
