'Thank you for all duas and blessings': Aishwarya Rai Bachchan pays tribute to 'dance guru' Saroj Khan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan paid a moving tribute to late choreographer Saroj Khan. She mentioned how everybody loved the 'dance guru' in the film industry. Aishwarya also sent across a lot of love, remembering how she learnt under 'masterji'.

Aishwarya shared an image from the sets of 'Taal', when she was rehearsing a song with Saroj Khan. Posting the image which was originally published by Khan, Aishwarya called her a legend.

She wrote, "ALL my Love Always too, Saroj ji. May your Soul Rest in Peace. Much respected, admired and adored as our Dance Guru in our Film Industry...truly a Legend...Such a privilege to have had so many memorable experiences dancing under your guidance..."

Thanking Saroj Khan for always looking out, Aishwarya also added, "THANK YOU for All your Duas and Blessings always... and so much LOVE. You will truly be missed. Prayers and much Strength to all your family."

Saroj Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had also collaborated for the popular 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' song 'Nimbooda Nimbooda' and 'Devdas' track 'Dola Re Dola'. Various other celebs like Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and others paid tribute to the veteran choreographer.

Saroj Khan died of cardiac arrest on July 3, 2020. She was admitted to Bandra's Guru Nanak hospital in ICU on June 20 after the ace choreographer complained of breating problems. On June 24, director Kunal Kohli confirmed that she was recovering and should be discharged within two days, but there was no update on her health later on. Saroj Khan had diabetes but was tested negative for COVID-19 upon admission in the hospital.
