Teaser of Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer '2.0' to be out on September 13

The wait will soon be over as the teaser of 2.0, starring stars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar will be released by its makers on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi that falls on September 13.

Isn't this some great news?

The film touted as the one most expensive Indian film ever is about the battle between the scientist/good robot played by Thalaiva Rajinikanth (Vaseekaran) and a menacing villain, Akshay Kumar who plays a rogue scientist named Richard. 

The robot look of the Kaala actor and the menacing crow look of the Padman actor has got people engrossed, so much so that everyone is waiting with bated breath for the film to release.

Earlier, the film was supposed to hit the theatres at the start of the year, but got pushed due to the VFX work that took a lot of time. 

The film also stars Singh is Bling actress Amy Jackson as the lead. 

In an interview to Rajeev Masand, a few days back, musician AR Rahman said, “There are a lot of expectations riding on the film. What’s good about Shankar is this project, he is the right person. Anyone else would have broken by now. He is like an iron man held on to it saying “I won’t compromise. I want this quality. It’s in 3D, I just watched one song. No CG on it…mindblowing. Only this guy can do this. And there is a whole climax scene, which is incredible.” 

2.0 directed by S Shankar, co-written by B Jeyamohan and produced by Subaskaran Allirajahis, the film is slated to release on November 29 this year.
