'Tandav' helmer Ali Abbas Zafar ties the knot; Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh pour in congratulatory messages

Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar dropped in a major surprise on his social media pages on Monday. During the wee hours of January 4, 2021, the Sultan director announced that he has tied the knot. Ali took to his Instagram pages and shared a beautiful photo posing with his newly wedded wife. In the photo, only the couple's hands are shown while they held each other. It's still unknown who has Ali tied the knot to.

Ali Abbas Zafar posted the photo with a caption stating, "Bismillah." Interestingly, the Tiger Zinda Hai director announced his wedding the day his upcoming outing Tandav trailer is set to be out.

Meanwhile, talking about Ali's upcoming directorial, the filmmaker has forayed into digital space with Tandav. The show is set to be streamed on Amazon Prime Video and stars Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Dino Morea Kumud Mishra, Gauahar Khan, Amyra Dastur, Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub, Kritika Kamra, Sarah Jane Dias, Sandhya Mridul, Annup Sonii, Hitten Ttejwani, Paresh Pahuja and Shonali Nagrani among others.

The trailer of the show takes viewers behind the closed, chaotic corridors of power and politics. Set in the capital of the world’s largest democracy, the series is a gripping, fictional drama that showcases the lengths to which people go in the pursuit of power.

Tandav is set to be streamed from January 15, 2021.
