The Mumbai Police has recorded a statement of the doctor who Sushant Singh Rajput had consulted for depression in January this year. The doctor's prescription was found when Sushant was discovered in his home on June 14, 2020.
The doctor was under questioning for what kind of treatment was Sushant undergoing for his depression since January. Since the police claimed the doctor had not been interrogated before, they could cross-check his statement with what others said during their questioning.
One of Sushant's friends informed the Police that the actor was under the impression that someone wanted to end his career. The police is now verifying if the actor was actually going through the condition, and if the doctor was aware about the same.
The 34-year-old actor was found hanging in his Bandra apartment. Soon after, the Mumbai police discovered that he had been depressed for six months and is nearly certain that was a factor which pushed the actor towards dying by suicide.
Around 35 people have been questioned by the Mumbai Police in the case. Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, last co-star (from 'Dil Bechara') Sanjana Sanghi, and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali were also called in for questioning in the matter. YRF had also revealed Sushant's contract to the Mumbai Police as proof in the matter.
