Actor Suniel Shetty is aware of the continuous discussion around star kids, their lifestyles and involvement of drugs in the film industry. While he is confident that his children actor Athiya Shetty and son Ahan are safe, he does worry about the wrong perception people have around star kids.

"I don't worry for my kids," he told IANS, adding: "(I am) worried about my kids in the industry in general. Every industry kid is called a 'druggie'. No, we are not, we are good people. We are socially placed and we do our CSR and I am very vocal about it. What I support is a clean, good, friendly environment."

During his interview with IANS, Suniel added, "Failure has never come my way. I am Suniel Shetty even after five flops. You cannot tell me how to walk and talk. You can say about me, 'he is a flop actor' but where are you in life? Who are you to question? These are the questions I would ask if you get personal. Otherwise, you are living your life and I am living my life. So, no judgement."

While daughter Athiya is already three films old in the Hindi film industry, Ahan will soon make his Bollywood debut in the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster "RX 100".

Talking about his son, the senior actor claimed, "I think my image will be affected by him because he is so damn good. Even if he does action, people will say, 'how come the father was not so good.? Father was average but the son is superb.' He is far more sincere. He has a golden heart."

Earlier this month, joining the likes of Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Ajay Devgn and Ekta Kapoor, Suniel too expressed his opinion about the ongoing protest by farmers. Suniel, along with the other actors, urged people not to fall for false propaganda against India.

His tweet came after international pop icon as Rihanna and other known personalities like Mia Khalifa and Greta Thunberg tweeted in favour of the farmers' protest in the country.

Soon after Suniel put up his tweet, the actor received massive backlash for his opinion on the farmers' protest. Later, explaining his tweet, in an exclusive interaction with ETimes Suniel said that he was supporting the government and his country.

He said, "I am supporting the farmers. I'm supporting the government and supporting India. My statement was very very clear to all the celebrities from outside of India defaming us, and giving the wrong picture about what's happening in our country."

He further added, "I'm a farmer myself, my forefathers were farmers. And we should always respect that. The farmers are our backbone. And that is the most important thing, my statement is very, very clear. That doesn't work. And this is to all the celebrities who are trying to comment on our country without really knowing too much about what's going on."
