Ahead of their film Sui Dhaaga: Made In India's release, actors Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma have come up with the Sui Dhaaga challenge- which implores you to thread a needle in 10 seconds.

This simple, but fascinating challenge has caught on with the Bollywood celebrities, who have been sharing videos of them trying to complete the challenge.

After Akshay Kumar’s failed attempt on Tuesday, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur gave a go at it on Wednesday. While the Brahmastra actress was successful in completing the task in time, Aditya was struggling till the end. Varun Dhawan was seen moderating the challenge.

After the end of their challenge, Alia nominated her guru, filmmaker Karan Johar for the challenge and asked him to extend it to her beau Ranbir Kapoor.

Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen together in Karan’s upcoming film Kalank and Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2.

Later, while sharing a video of them accepting the challenge, Karan took to Twitter on Wednesday to share a video of Ranbir and himself taking a go at it.

Though Ranbir initially struggled, he was successful in putting the thread in the needle in the stipulated time, unlike the filmmaker!

The two have now nominated lovebirds Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone to take up the challenge next.

While several stars are showing their prowess at needle threading, we’re yet to see if Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Ranveer and Deepika- who have been nominated, would be able to do it or not.

Throwing open the challenge on Monday, Anushka Sharma tweeted a video of her and Varun asking people to try out the fun activity.

“Humne toh kar diya! Ab aap sab ki baari! @iamsrk, ready to thread the needle for the #SuiDhaagaChallenge? The challenge is open to everyone. So share your videos on social media tagging @yrf, @SuiDhaagaFilm with #SuiDhaagaChallenge & nominate your friends! #SuiDhaagaMadeInIndia (sic),” she wrote alongside a video.

Directed by Sharat Katariya, Sui Dhaaga: Made In India is slated to release on September 28.
