'Street Dancer 3D' Song 'Illegal Weapon 2.0': Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor gear up for the ultimate dance-off

After the release of the revamped version of 90s dance number Muqabla and party number Garmi starring Nora Fatehi, the makers of Street Dancer 3D today released a peppy song titled Illegal Weapon 2.0 which is a revised version of a song by the same name by Garry Sandhu featuring Jasmine Sandlas. 

The song sets the vibe for the film and features Varun and Shraddha in an ultimate dance-off. The pair earlier impressed fans with their chemistry and dance moves in ABCD 2 and with this new track they once again set the screens on fire.

Illegal Weapon 2.0 is a recreated version of a popular Punjabi song and in the new version composed by Tanishk Bagchi while adding a new flavor to the number, he has retained the original singers.

As per reports, director Remo D'Souza revealed that Illegal Weapon 2.0 is the first time when the two rival groups meet each other for the first time. The director further stated that the makers were looking for a groovy number for the sequence when the producer of the film Bhushan Kumar recommended the 2018 hit. 

"We realized it could be a perfect song to introduce Shraddha's character. We have retained the music and hook line, but have changed the lyrics. We have pumped up the groove and added a street mix vibe to the track." 

Street Dancer 3D will also star Prabhudheva and Nora Fatehi in key roles. The film is slated to release on January 24, 2020, and will be clashing with Kangana Ranaut starrer Panga.
