Soorma song Pardesiya: Diljit Dosanjh aka Sandeep Singh's journey to recovery is inspiring
Diljit Dosanjh is too good in the role of Sandeep Singh
New song from Diljit Dosanjh starrer 'Soorma' was released today. The song called 'Pardesiya' showcases the struggles and heartbreaking journey of recovery from paralysis of International Hockey player Sandeep Singh. Written by poet Gulzar, the song is sung by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
Here's our favourite stanza from the song -
Zindagi se loota tha jo mila bhi nahiDoor se jo dekhe koyi gila bhi nahiChhod de akela mujhe meri tanhayi meinDaag na aaye tujh par meri ruswayi mein
Tere bin jeena dhokha lagda ae, tere binTere bin jeena aukha lagda ae, tere binTere bin zindagi nu kivein manawanPardesiya ho pardesiya
The movie is an inspiring true story of human spirit, about a player, who made headlines for his miraculous comeback after an unfortunate accident. It is a lesser known fact that Sandeep has been hailed as one of the world's most dangerous drag-flickers of all time with drag speeds of over 145 km/hr which led to his nickname, 'Flicker Singh'.
