Sonu Sood informed his fans that the portrait was made within a span of 20 days and that he is touched by the mega gesture.
Actor and philanthropist, Sonu Sood has been ruling the hearts of Indians ever since he stepped up efforts to aid in COVID-19 pandemic relief work. Sonu tirelessly worked throughout both the lockdowns to help people in need and migrant labourers. Sonu’s efforts were widely appreciated by netizens and social media users, many of whom have hailed him as god. Several people even demanded that Sonu should be the next Prime Minister of India.
On Sunday (August 1), the actor shared a video on Instagram about an artist named Vipul Mirajkar who made a gigantic portrait of him spreading over an area of 50000 sq. ft. Sonu in his post informed his fans that the portrait was made within a span of 20 days and that he is touched by the mega gesture.
“This is SPECTACULAR. Vipul Mirajkar, an outstanding artist created this massive 50000 sq.ft portrait within 20 days, here in Maharashtra. I am beyond amazed and touched by this gesture Never did i think something like this would be possible. I can’t thank Vipul and all the members who supported him enough. This one is MEGA (literally ) @vipul_m_artist,” Sonu captioned the post.
Reacting to the video, Shraddha Kapoor's brother, musician Siddhant Kapoor commented, “This is unreal wow.” The video has now gone viral on social media. Fans took to the comment section and praised the artist and also said Sonu deserved such a gesture.
“It's amazing sir we proud to you,” wrote on user while another commented, “We love you sir.” A third user wrote, “no words to describe speechless,” while a fourth user commented, "Great work by uhh sabhi log hamesa yad rakhenge.” Another user wrote, “you deserve it sir luv u.”
This is not the first time fan have shown such gestures for the actor. Earlier this year, a video went viral where the actor’s fans could be seen pouring milk over his life-size poster.
Meanwhile, the ‘Dabangg’ has become the brand ambassador of India at the Special Olympics to be held in Russia. Sonu announced the news on his Instagram account with a picture of him wearing the jersey and posing with the Special Olympics Red Ball.
He wrote, "Feeling proud today as I’m chosen to be the Brand Ambassador for India at the #SpecialOlympics to be held in Russia! I’m sure our champions will make us proud and I wish them all the best! Jai Hind.”
The virtual event of the inaugural session was viewed by over 500 athletes, coaches, families, officials and volunteers. In his role as the brand ambassador for Special Olympics Bharat, Sonu will lead the team of Special Olympics Bharat Athletes who will travel to Kazan to participate in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in January 2022.
