Sonam Kapoor: I’m not playing an actress in the Sanjay Dutt biopic!
She teams up with Ranbir Kapoor after 11 years since their debut, Saawariya, buzz has been that she plays one of Sanju’s romantic interests, who was also an actress.
Ever since it was reported that Sonam Kapoor is doing a cameo in the Sanjay Dutt biopic, speculations have been rife about her role in the Rajkumar Hirani directorial. While she teams up with Ranbir Kapoor after 11 years since their debut, Saawariya, buzz has been that she plays one of Sanju’s romantic interests, who was also an actress. That led to people assuming that Sonam was either playing Tina Munim or Madhuri Dixit, who the Saajan actor was reportedly seeing in the 80s and 90s respectively.
However, when asked about her character, Sonam dismissed the rumours stating, “I have a small but important part in the movie. It’s not what everyone is thinking. I am not playing an actress. I am not allowed to say anything about it. But it has been wonderful working with Rajkumar Hirani. He is one of the biggest reasons why I said yes to this film.”
