Sonam K Ahuja reveals why 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' has been pushed ahead

Sonam K Ahuja will share screen space for the first time with dad Anil Kapoor in Shelly Chopra Dhar’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The slice-of-life drama, which revolves around a Punjabi family, was initially supposed to hit screens next month. But soon enough, the makers announced a fresh release date — February 1, 2019. 

NO RESHOOT

Recently, speculations were rife that the film got pushed because the makers had to reshoot some important portions. When we met Sonam and quizzed her about the same, she refuted the rumours and said, “There’s no plan to reshoot. The movie has been shot and is complete.” She further reasoned, “My look in Ek Ladki... is totally different as I sport long and straight hair in it. I’ve already cut and curled my hair for The Zoya Factor. How can we shoot now? It’s not possible logically.”

REAL REASON

She revealed that the reason behind pushing the movie ahead by four months was completely different. “We weren’t getting a proper release date as every week was booked by some flick or the other. So, everyone took a call to release our film in February 2019,” she signed off.
