Sonu Sood funded the AirAsia India Airbus A320 plane which helped 173 migrants reach Dehradun. The plane left from Mumbai at around 1.57 pm and landed at the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun at 4.41 pm.

"As another charter flight takes flight today, our efforts to help migrant workers stranded in various parts of the country have only grown stronger," Sonu Sood told PTI, also adding, "Most of them have never had the opportunity to experience air travel, and the smiles on their faces brings me a lot of joy as they take this AirAsia India flight to reach home to their families and friends."

AirAsia's Airbus A320 plane was the sixth charter flight undertaken since the lockdown was announced. Prior to this, Sonu Sood had helped 167 migrant workers stuck in Kerala. He funded a chartered plane to help them reach their home town Odisha.
