With his action movies, over-the-top action sequences, and cop series, Rohit Shetty has established a distinct style for himself. Singham by Ajay Devgn served as the catalyst, and a sequel soon followed. Then, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif's Sooryavanshi joined the cop franchise after Ranveer Singh dressed in a police costume for Simba. According to recent reports, Rohit Shetty is now making a comeback with Singham's third instalment. According to BollywoodLife, Shetty announced the third Singham instalment in an interview.

“While Singham is technically part of Simba and Sooryavanshi, it’s been a long time since I worked with Ajay. The last Singham came in 2014 and is yet one of the most favourite films on satellite. Time has changed and the canvas has become bigger and I have been wanting to make something with Ajay," the publication quoted him as saying.

Rohit gave his opinion on the impact of South-Indian films, and actors in Bollywood. He stated that southern films have been remade since the 60s. "When you'll check the (Bollywood) history, you will learn that south is there since the 60s and 50s. Shashi Kapoor's Pyaar Kiye Jaa was a remake of a south film. In the 80s when Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna were at their peak, a new boy entered into cinema world, Kamal Haasan sir with Ek Duje Ke Liye, and it was a hit."

In the meantime, Rohit Shetty has begun filming Khatron Ke Khiladi's 12th season in Cape Town. Rohit is also prepared to make his OTT debut. The director is in charge of the Amazon Prime television programme Indian Police Force. Sidharth Malhotra will also make his series debut with it. It has already been shot in Goa for a sizable portion of it.
