Shilpa Shetty all set to make a comeback in movies after 12 years!

It's been 25 years since Shilpa Shetty Kundra became a part of Bollywood. She made her debut in Abbas-Mastan's 1993 thriller Baazigar alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Since then, there was no turning back for her. However, it's been 12 years we saw Shilpa on the big screen as her last movie outing was Apne released in 2007. In these many years, we only saw her doing special songs in movies namely Om Shanti Om, Dostana and Dishkiyaoon.

Now as per reports in Mumbai Mirror, Shilpa is returning to the big screen after 12 years with Diljit Dosanjh and Yami Gautam's forthcoming comedy film. In the movie, she will be seen playing the role of a writer. Talking about it, a source stated to the tabloid, "Shilpa plays a writer in the film. After a monthlong holiday in London and Greece, she returns to Mumbai in the first week of August and will immediately start shooting for the film. She is really excited."

The film marks the directorial debut of filmmaker Aziz Mirza's son Haroon.

Earlier, at an event, Shilpa had spoken about making a comeback to the films. She said, "I love acting. If I hadn't done TV, then maybe I would have done films. After I had my son I consciously decided to be with him and so I did not do films. If I had to do a film then I had to be away for a longer period of time from my son so I did not want to do that."
