Shamita Shetty, who has signed up an international project, The Tenant, has got herself a tattoo, albeit, a temporary one for it. The movie talks about a cosmopolitan woman with a mysterious past who moves into a traditional housing society and the trouble that follows.

The director Sushrut Jain wanted the svelte actress to get inked as her character has a certain look. Even though Shamita isn’t too fond of tattoos, her commitment to the character precedes over personal choices. So she has got herself a temporary tattoo, of a ‘lotus in mandala’, which can be re-touched as and when required during the shoot. 

On her part, Shamita says, “As an actor, I try to do everything in my power to do justice to the character I am portraying. It’s a brilliant script and a role that I haven’t played on screen before.”
