Several videos of Shah Rukh Khan went viral on social media post his visit to Arthur Road Jail because of his 'humility in the face of adversity'.
After 18 long days, Shah Rukh Khan finally visited his son Aryan Khan in Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail on Thursday. According to jail authorities, the accused were not allowed to have visitors earlier in the wake of the COVID-19 but the restrictions were eased starting today.
Several photos and videos of Shah Rukh went viral on social media post his visit not because he stepped out in public for the first time since Aryan's arrest but because of his 'humility in the face of adversity'.
Twitter users couldn't help but notice how Shah Rukh while exiting the jail after meeting his son Aryan, greeted the crowd outside with folded hands. The actor did not address the media, however, he patiently greeted all his fans who were waiting for him outside Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail.
Sharing the video on her account, actor Swara Bhasker wrote, "Grace. Class. Decency."
In another tweet, Swara wrote, "Shahrukh Khan is an example of grace & decent conduct. To me, he represents the best qualities of India as an idea. He is an inspiration to me personally. Sending him & Gauri love, strength & all my prayers!"
Many other users also shared videos of Shah Rukh greeting fans outside the jail. One user wrote, "In such hard times when people choose to ignore everyone, @iamsrk is being gentle and greeting people. That’s his standard and humility. #Aryankhan," while another said, "Shah Rukh Khan chooses to be gentle and greet people in such a bad time. This is SRK!!!"
As for his visit, Shah Rukh left Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail after spending 20 minutes -- the maximum time allowed for the visitors -- with his son.
In the wake of the COVID-19, the visitors are restricted from having any physical contact with the jail inmates and thus, Shah Rukh met son Aryan through a glass wall and talked to him through an intercom.
