Sanju song 'Badhiya' : Ranbir Kapoor-Sonam Kapoor bring back 80s romance in quirky number

The first song from much-awaited film 'Sanju' featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor is out. Titled 'Badhiya' the song begins from the times when Sanjay Dutt was gearing up his big screen debut in 'Rocky' under his father, Sunil Dutt's direction. The song begins with Ranbir Kapoor who is essaying the role of Dutt saying, 'Papa ko lagta hai main lip-sync nahi kar sakta' and he takes up the challenge to prove him wrong.

Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor's retro look takes us back to the 80s and even the singing style of Sunidhi Chauhan and Sonu Nigam reminds us of the era gone by. Ten years after debuting together in 'Saawariya', Ranbir-Sonam looking cute together in this quirky romantic number. Breaking the stereotypes and mocking at lip-syncing on the big screen, Ranbir is having a jolly good time lip-syncing to a woman's voice while Sonam matches her lip movement to the male singer's voice.

In Sanju trailer, we saw Sonam Kapoor is playing Sanju's girlfriend and even in a small role, the actress has quite intense scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in the film. In 'Badhiya' you can witness Rajkumar Hirani's style of storytelling where the song is also a part of the narrative and not just for the sake of churning out a chart-topping number.

Written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film will also stars an ensemble cast in addition to Ranbir Kapoor which includes Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Sonam Kapoor and Dia Mirza amongst others.
