Salman Khan was expected to create a storm at the box office with his Eid release, Tubelight. But since that didn't happen and Tubelight has become Salman's slowest 100 crore film, Bhaijaan has decided to bear the losses of distributors.

Salman Khan will be refunding an amount of 55 crore to the distributors and producers as a gesture of goodwill for the losses incurred by them.The movie's box office collections revealed that it was only able to gross 114.50 crore worldwide  which was a reason of disappointment for the trade analysts who were expecting it to break Salman's previous box office records of Sultan which grossed 300.45 crore and 320.34 crore for bajrangi bhaijaan.In a first move of this kind,it was come to light that the Bajrangi Bhaijan actor will be refunding the amount to compensate for the failure of not making a huge box office collection. 

The news of the actor compensating for the film's losses  was announced by trade analyst Komal Nahta.

Komal Nahta took to Twitter and shared the news via a tweet, in which he wrote, SalmanKhan has agreed to refund monies to distributors to make up for losses in Tubelight. A lovely gesture. That's being human!

Meanwhile,Salman Khan has moved on and shot for the highly anticipated cameos in two big films. Salman Khan will be seen with Varun Dhawan in Judwaa 2 and also with Shah Rukh Khan in his dwarf film with Aanand L Rai. Apart from that Salman Khan's reunion with Katrina Kaif in Ali Abbas Zafar's Tiger Zinda Hai will also hit screens on December 22 this year
