After Hrs was the first to report that come October, Salman Khan will start shooting for Race 3, with Remo D’Souza instead of Go Daddy. The actor, who is currently wrapping up the final schedule of Tiger Zinda Hai in Abu Dhabi, will go straight into the shooting of the Race franchise as soon as he wraps the current film.

Meanwhile, Remo’s dance film has now been indefinitely pushed, and the director will focus on Race 3. An insider reveals, “Salman loved the script of Race 3 and has asked Remo to come on board as the director. The schedules for Race 3 remain the same as Go Daddy so that works for both — the actor and the filmmaker.” It’s also a possibility that Jacqueline Fernandez, who was part of Go Daddy, will also be pulled into this project.

Producer Ramesh Taurani plans to take huge leaps with the Race franchise this time. The source adds, “The plan is to make Race 3 in 3D format. That’s going to be huge because India has never witnessed an action film with an A-list actor in this format before. The crazy action and the car chases and stunts in the format should be interesting.”

Go Daddy has been put on the shelf for now, because after Race 3, Salman will begin work on Atul Agnihotri-Alvira Khan’s Bharat and then there’s Dabangg 3 with Arbaaz Khan.
