After The Girl on the Train, Parineeti Chopra will next be seen in Saina. The actor is playing the role of badminton star Saina Nehwal in her biopic directed by Amole Gupte. On Thursday, the makers of the film released the first teaser of the film and it is nothing less than inspiring.

Parineeti looks Saina's lookalike, complete with the mole on her cheek and the shots on the badminton court that made the world wake up to her talent are sure to encourage you to run after your dreams, no holds barred.

Check out the teaser here.

The 1 minute 23 seconds teaser opens with Parineeti speaking about how half of the Indian population comprises females who are only expected to cook and then are married off at the age of 18. However, Parineeti then adds, "Lekin mere saath aisa nahi hua, karchi-tawe ke badle mein pakdi maine talwar (But this didn't happen with me, I picked the sword in place of a pan and ladle)."

The teaser highlights Saina's many achievements and shows how her parents and coach encouraged her to be the first Indian badminton player to win an Olympic medal, to win five medals in Commonwealth Games, and become the only Indian woman badminton player to become world No. 1.

Parineeti had undergone intense training with several badminton sessions. The actor shared many BTS photos and videos on her Instagram page leaving fans excited to see her as the sports star on the big screen.

Earlier Shraddha Kapoor was roped in to play the titular role in Saina and was then replaced by Parineeti. Talking about the same, Chopra had told Bombay Times, "She’s right! Har film ki apni kismat hoti hai. I remember being over the moon after reading just five pages of the script. I met the director Amole Gupte. I wanted to do it, but things didn’t materialise then. Shraddha is a dear friend and we often discussed how she was doing my film. It's sheer luck that it came back to me."

'Saina' is all set to release in theatres on March 26.
