In the tweet, while sharing an image posted by the 'Shuddh Desi Romance' star's fan club on the micro-blogging site, Saina called Parineeti her 'lookalike'.

In the said photo, Parineeti can be seen sporting short hair with clips on her hair, just like the ones Saina wears, with an intense, competitive look on her face.

“My lookalike @ParineetiChopra #sainamovie,” Saina wrote on Twitter.

This is the second look from the film that has been shared by the ace shuttler.

Earlier, in an Instagram post shared on October 7, Saina while sharing Parineeti's photo practising badminton during the film's shoot, wrote,  Looking forward to this journey together! My best wishes to the team #SainaNehwalBiopic #Saina @parineetichopra #AmoleGupte @bhushankumar #DeepaBhatia @sujay.jairaj @tseries.official @tseriesfilms (sic)."

For the unversed, before Parineeti, actress Shraddha had shot briefly for the film. However, the film got back to Parineeti, who eventually is playing the ace badminton player on-screen. However, the reasons why the 'Saho' star bowed out of the film, is still not known.

Earlier, during an interaction with Bombay Times, Parineeti addressed the topic when told that Shraddha had mentioned that she was in fact, the first choice for the film.

To this Parineeti told BT, "She’s right! Har film ki apni kismat hoti hai. I remember being over the moon after reading just five pages of the script. I met the director Amole Gupte. I wanted to do it, but things didn’t materialise then. Shraddha is a dear friend and we often discussed how she was doing my film. It’s sheer luck that it came back to me."

Saina, who was also part of the same interview, when asked about Amole Gupte directing her biopic, told the publication, "I am happy that he’s directing my biopic. He knows how to handle such stories and he knows everything about my life very well. He knows what I am doing, where I am and even the results of those matches that aren’t aired on TV. He also gives me regular updates about the scenes that are being shot and Parineeti’s on-going prep."

The film started shooting last year after Parineeti underwent intensive training to play the badminton player.
