Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the box office breakdown of the film. He wrote, "#SonuKeTituKiSweety is ROCKING... [Week 5] Fri 48 lakhs, Sat 83 lakhs, Sun 1.05 cr, Mon 47 lakhs, Tue 42 lakhs, Wed 46 lakhs, Thu 54 lakhs. Total: ₹ 106.77 cr. India biz... #SKTKS"

While Sonu Ke titu Ki Sweety is facing stiff competition from films like Ajay Devgn's Raid and Rani Mukerji's comeback film Hichki, it is still going strong by maintaining its hold. Once again, Luv Ranjan has managed to hit at the nerves of the youth and the film has been liked by most of the crowd.

SKTKS presents the epic age-old battle of romance vs bromance. Apart from the lead cast, it's Alok Nath's character which has come as a refreshing change, shedding his sanskaari image and providing buckets full of humour in the film.

As of now, SKTKS stands as the second highest grosser of the year so far, with only Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat ahead of it.
