Rohit Shetty may begin shooting 'Golmaal 5' in 2020, confirms Shreyas Talpade

Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade recently confirmed in an interview that 'Golmaal 5' is on its way and that filmmaker Rohit Shetty will begin shooting for it in 2020.

“Like we gave a small hint in Aankh Maare, Rohit is also very keen that we do the fifth part of Golmaal. He is working on a story right now, which none of us are privy to. Eventually, he will tell us what our dates are for shooting, but I think it will be in 2020 when we should probably shoot for it,” Shreyas told CineBlitz. 

He added, “I am just keeping my fingers crossed as it is a great franchise, and we all have a good time shooting it together. Yes, we want to do the fifth part and we are hopeful that Rohit will crack a story soon and call us for the shoot.”

The first film from the 'Golmaal' franchise came out in 2016. The Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi starrer went on to become one of the highest grossers in the comedy genre.

Shreyas Talpade replaced Sharman Joshi as Laxman in the second installment and Kunal Kemmu joined the series from the third part of the franchise. Both of them starred in the last and fourth instalment 'Golmaal Again'.
