Rhea Chakraborty always accompanied Sushant Singh Rajput during counselling sessions with psychiatrists

Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant Singh's girlfriend, always accompanied him during his counselling sessions with psychiatrists, Mumbai Police has revealed after quizzing doctors whom the actor consulted during his battle with depression.

Investigating the suicide case of Sushant Singh Rajput, the Mumbai police on Friday summoned two doctors for questioning.

According to sources quoted by Zee News, Sushant was admitted to a renowned Mumbai hospital in October last year for deep depression and stayed there for about a week. The 34-year-old actor met as many as five psychiatrists in the last few years. Out of these, the Mumbai police quizzed two doctors on July 17.

One of the doctors told the police that he had been treating Sushant Singh Rajput for the last one year adding that Rhea Chakraborty introduced him on a friend's recommendation.

The actor was in a state of depression, trauma and was tense over something during the period. "Lack of sleep, anxiety, always having a doubt on something were the early symptoms seen in Sushant," the doctor revealed.

Rhea Chakraborty always accompanied Sushant during counselling sessions.

Sources said that the psychiatrist has made some other key revelations related to Sushant's life as well but the police cannot share it yet.

Police have now asked for all the medical notes, files and other documents that the doctors prepared during counselling sessions with Sushant. They will cross-check all the information with other doctors and Sushant's family members.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Aditya Chopra has been questioned by Mumbai Police in relation to Sushant Singh Rajput's death.

On Thursday, Rhea had sought a CBI enquiry in Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case. In a post on Instagram, she had asked Union Home Minister Amit Shah to initiate a CBI probe into the matter.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging from his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020.
